Shipping your bird safely and efficiently is our top priority. With USPS Express Live Bird Shipping, your bird can arrive at its destination within 24 to 72 hours, depending on the recipient’s location in the USA.

Shipping Rates:

  • Colorado Residents: $50 (Flat Rate)
  • Other States: $75 (Flat Rate)
  • Sunday & Holiday Shipping: $95

Shipping rates do not include the cost of specialized shipping crates designed for live birds. Additional cost may apply!

Shipping Process:

  • Birds are shipped in specialized crates featuring outfitted cages that provide stability during transit, ensuring the bird doesn’t slide around.
  • These crates include ventilation, spill-resistant food and water cups, and a mesh covering that allows light and oxygen in while maintaining privacy.
  • Labels indicating “Fragile” and “Live Animals” are applied for added safety.

Delivery Options:

  • Direct Delivery: The bird is delivered to the client’s door, with a required signature upon delivery.
  • Post Office Pickup: Clients can opt to pick up the bird from their local USPS/Post Office by providing the tracking number and ID, ensuring the bird remains in a controlled environment.

Shipping Logistics: The estimated delivery time depends on several steps:

Insurance & Monitoring:

  • We take photos and videos of the bird before and during the shipping process and share them with the client for insurance purposes.
  • Insurance is automatically applied to all shipments, covering any damages, theft, or loss during transit.

Delta Cargo Specialized Live Animal Transport

  • Availability: Offered at major airports in the USA with Delta Cargo facilities.

  • Shipping Rate: Flat rate of $250, including the Specialized Wood Shipping Crate.

  • Coordination: Clients must coordinate with our Fulfillment Team for logistics such as airport pickup, flight times, and scheduling.

  • Transit Time: Typically less than 24 hours or overnight, depending on location. Most shipments are nonstop; however, some may have one stop.

  • Specialized Wood Shipping Crate:

    • Features: Perch for grip, ventilation with specialized mesh, light for visibility, privacy for the bird, and labels indicating “Fragile” and “Live Animals.”
    • Food and Water: 24/7 supply with spill-resistant cups (not shown in photos).
  • Pickup: Upon arrival at the designated airport, clients must sign for and pick up the shipment at Delta Cargo Facilities (ID and signature required).

USPS Express Live Bird Shipping CO (Colorado Shipping Only):

    • Shipping Rate: $50.
    • Description: This shipping method is exclusively for Colorado residents. The reduced rate is due to the use of road transportation instead of air travel. The service operates similarly to the regular weekday shipping option but is restricted to Colorado zip codes.
    • Sunday & Holiday USPS Express Live Bird Shipping:

      • Shipping Rate: $95.
      • Description: This option allows bird orders to be delivered on weekends and holidays. The higher shipping cost reflects USPS’s limited operational hours and staffing on these days. Only certain zip codes qualify for this shipping method. If a non-qualifying zip code is used, the customer will be refunded the excess amount, and the shipping method will revert to the standard weekday option.

These options provide flexibility and ensure that customers understand the terms and conditions based on their location and delivery preferences.

    • Includes: Flight and enclosed wooden shipping crate.
    • Shipping Time: Same-day delivery; pickup required at the airport.
    • Usage: Ideal for large birds or a large number of small birds.

  3. American Airlines Cargo:

    • Cost: $350-$500 (varies by destination and bird size).
    • Includes: Airfreight fee, freight charges, miscellaneous fees, and crate.
    • Additional Requirements: Veterinarian check-up and health certificate (additional cost to the purchaser).
    • Usage: Last resort shipping option.
