European Goldfinch For Sale

The European Goldfinch for sale (Carduelis carduelis) is a colorful, small finch introduced to Australia in the 19th century, making it one of the only two true finch species in the region. Known for its striking red face and black crown and shoulders, this finch has distinguishing features: white sides of the head, brown upper parts and flanks, a white abdomen and rump, and black wings with bright yellow bars that are particularly noticeable during flight. The tail is also black with white tips. Females resemble males, though their red facial markings are typically more subdued. Juveniles differ from adults, sporting a brown head and streaked plumage instead of the adult’s bold patterns.
