Henry Liang is known for his YouTube channels MxR and MxR Plays. He is an American Youtuber, gamer, enterpreneur and social media influencer. Henry is best known for his videos on ‘The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim’, an award winning single-player action role-playing video game developed by Bethseda Game Studios and released initially on November 11^th, 2011. It runs on various platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and Microsoft Windows. He is currently dating the Instagram model Jeannie Lee, popularly known as Potastic Panda. They stream together on their YouTube channels and post their couple photos on their social media handles.

Henry Liang was born on July 5th, 1994 in Long Island, New York, United States of America. He is from Taiwanese-American background. He joined YouTube in 2011 during his senior year in high school. He started creating videos for a game named Skyrim and posted them on his YouTube channel. He has attended the Boston University (in the field of Engineering) but eventually dropped out to pursue a career as a YouTuber. Slowly he started doing reviews for MMO games such as Maple Story, Atlantic and Guild Wars.Henry created MxR Mods dated back to 2011 and after a few years later, around 2014, a Skyrim mod called ‘Recorder’ went on to catch his eye and left him intrigued.

After that initial moment when their worlds collided, the couple’s relationship started to develop when Henry went on to undertake a Q&A with Jeannie on Snapchat. Things went to a whole new level when Henry confirmed that he was heading to Los Angeles and wanted some advice about the city from his followers. He said: “I asked who wants to show me around LA, because I just moved to LA. She was the first one to email me. And then we just shot a vlog, and then after that I asked her on a date.”

In December 2016, MxR renamed what was originally Jeannie‘s channel to ‘MxR Plays’ which is focused on Gaming and Vlogs featuring potasticpanda (original channel owner). This channel has videos mostly consists of reviewing memes on Reddit.Some of it’s most known videos are “WELCOME TO THE MILFY CITY – Girlfriend Reacts to Adult Games,” “LIKE A BOSS,” and “What Men See Vs What Women See.”

Though MxR Plays channel was initially based around mods for Skyrim and Fallout, the pair decided to change things up and, in their words, “tried everything”. This included vlogging about events in their own lives, trying to cook food from video games like Skyrim in the real world, and doing unboxing of various different items. These days, the channel is generally based around reacting to strange and darker memes and images that have found their way in the internet.

MxR Plays was continuing their journey by reacting and providing commentary about memes and short video clips, primarily on Reddit but got into a conflict with Jukin Media (who claims that they own a large number of short videos and memes that are present online). After years of making those videos, Jukin Media contacted MxR Plays, extorting them for thousands of dollars or face copyright strikes on their channel, which eventually results in their YouTube Channel getting removed permanently.Some content claimed that Jukin Media tried to do the same thing to with some other YouTube channels including ‘Equals Three‘ back in 2014 where Equals Three took Jukin Media to court and won the case.

But Jukin Media said that it had no ill will toward MxR. And the channel could “completely avoid” any future problems simply by paying a modest “licensing fee” to the company.

The problem later resolved by negotiation. Henry commented: “They actually welcomed negotiation, which is a great thing, because we’re willing to work together. We had a talk and came to a resolution I’m very happy with, Jeanie is very happy with, Jukin is very happy with. I think, in the end, it all worked out.”

Jeannie added “Originally, what they did was unfair, but the part where people were getting doxxed… personal, private information of employees and the executive board of that company were being released,” She contuniued. “That part, we did not like, and were scared.”

He has many ups and downs in his career as a YouTuber. His channel got demonitized by YouTube as the content is far away from family friendly and once once of his channels got hacked too.

And, according to Henry, demonetized channels don’t get shown as often in YouTube’s algorithm – making the channel “really hard to find” and “stuffed down” by YouTube.
