All our Recessive Silver Pied Cockatiel come closed-banded for permanent identification. Contrary to popular rumors, closed bands are completely safe. There is no split that can get caught on things, and they cannot be closed tighter on the leg. Our Cockatiels are banded using lightweight aluminum bands that are traceable back to us for the life of the bird. Each band features our name, the hatch-year, and the baby’s order of hatch within that year.

All Recessive Silver Pied Cockatiel bird for sale are also either DNA sexed (via lab blood sample) or Nest Sexed (we know their gender positively based on their parent’s genetics.) DNA sexed babies will come home with their DNA certificate and Hatch Certificate. Nest Sexed babies go home with their Hatch Certificate. We NEVER guess the gender! If we are unsure, we DNA.

We ship our Cockatiel Bird For Sale same-day through Delta Airlines for $250, weather permitting. As a convenience, we also offer DNA testing for $40 to determine the bird’s gender. How does it work? To keep your new family member healthy and safe during its travel, we include food, water, and an extra bag of food attached in case of delay. All Cockatiel Bird are kept in a temperature-controlled section. Delta Airlines has safety protocols to make sure your pet arrives in the same condition it left us.
