Adam is a Senior Investment Director and Head of Adviser Solutions in London. Adam joined Brooks Macdonald in 2007 and manages the Adviser Solutions investment team, as well as bespoke portfolios for a range of clients.

Adam is a Chartered Wealth Manager and a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (Chartered FCSI).

Adrian joined Brooks Macdonald in 2014 and leads the private client arm of our international business.

Adrian worked at DPZ Capital Limited before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald, the Royal Bank of Canada and Abacus Financial Services Group. He has over 30 years' experience in financial services.

Adrian is a Chartered Financial Planner, a Fellow of the Personal Finance Society and a Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (CISI). He is also a CISI Chartered Wealth Manager.

Akos joined Brooks Macdonald in 2015 and heads up the Direct Strategies Team. He focuses on managing fixed income portfolios.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Akos worked at Lloyds Banking Group in Jersey as an Investment Manager. He has over 13 years' experience in the financial services industry.

Akos is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), a Chartered Market Technician (CMT) charterholder and holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and ESG Investing Certificate. He was named as one of 2020 PAM Top 40 Under 40 rising stars of the private client wealth management working in the UK and UK Crown dependencies.

Akos sits on our fixed interest research team.

Alex Charalambous is Head of Wealth for the Brooks Macdonald Group. Joining in 2024, he leads the firm’s advice-led integrated wealth management offering for private clients across the UK.

Alex has over 20 years of experience in advising high-net-worth individuals and families and has held leadership roles at some of the industry’s most prominent firms. Alex is responsible for ensuring our compelling value proposition is delivered to all our clients.

Alex joined Brooks Macdonald in 2011 and assists with the management of our Managed Portfolio Service and Multi-Asset Fund range. This includes acting as a secondary dealer and providing market research.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Alex worked for Martin Place Securities (Sydney) as a Corporate Administrator. He has worked in financial services since 2009.

Alex holds the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification and the CISI Investment Advice Diploma (IAD).

Alex joined Brooks Macdonald in 2016 and manages bespoke discretionary portfolios on behalf of private clients, charities, trusts and pensions. He heads up our Tier 1 Investor Visa proposition and is also a member of our charity services investment team.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Alex worked at Quilter Cheviot and Barclays Wealth, and has over 14 years of industry experience.

Alex holds the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM), the Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Alexandra joined Brooks Macdonald in 2020 and manages bespoke discretionary portfolios on behalf of a range of clients.

Prior to this, Alexandra worked at Cornelian Asset Managers as a Senior Investment Manager before its acquisition by Brooks Macdonald. She attained LLB (Hons) Law and qualified as a solicitor after completing her training with Turcan Connell.

Alexandra holds the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Investment Advice Diploma (IAD) and Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM). She is also a Chartered Member of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).

Alick Mackay is the Strategy & Corporate Development Director of the Brooks Macdonald Group, and a member of the Executive Committee.

Joining Brooks Macdonald in 2017, Alick owns all areas of the strategy and corporate development agenda, including the Group’s approach to potential acquisitions and disposals.

Alick has over 30 years working in financial services, principally in wealth management and banking, in roles covering strategy, consulting, COO and technology. Immediately prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Alick worked at Royal Bank of Scotland for ten years, leading the strategy team in the investment bank and playing a COO role in the capital markets business. He has also worked for ABN AMRO and McKinsey.

Alick has a degree in Mathematics & Natural Philosophy from the University of Aberdeen, an MSc in Mathematics from the Open University and an MBA from Columbia Business School, New York.

Alister joined Brooks Macdonald in 2016 and develops professional adviser and intermediary relationships in the Midlands.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Alister worked at firms including AXA Wealth and Aegon as a Business Development Manager. He also worked as an Independent Financial Adviser.

Alister has over 30 years’ experience in financial services, holds the Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and is a Chartered Financial Planner.

Andrea joined Brooks Macdonald in August 2023 as Chief Financial Officer, bringing an impressive track record and experience of operating at Board and Executive level across the UK long-term savings and asset management sector.

Most recently, Andrea was Group Chief Risk Officer at Aviva, where she had previously been Group Chief Financial Controller. Prior to that, Andrea has held senior leadership roles including Deputy Group CFO at Royal London and Group Chief Internal Auditor at Standard Life plc.

Her formative years were spent at PricewaterhouseCoopers, where she qualified as a chartered accountant before taking her first industry role with Scottish & Newcastle plc.

Andrew is a Senior Investment Director at Brooks Macdonald, heading up the Manchester office, where he brings over a decade of experience in managing bespoke investment portfolios on behalf of a range of private clients.

With a keen eye for market trends and a passion for delivering tailored investment solutions, Andrew excels in helping clients achieve their financial goals.

Alongside his role with Brooks Macdonald, Andrew has developed strong relationships within the professional services and wider business community across the North West and more specifically within the local area, through co-founding Manchester Young Professionals & The Social Collective.

Andrew holds the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) Chartered Wealth Manager Qualification and the Investment Management Certificate (IMC). He is also a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.

Andrew joined Brooks Macdonald in 2018 and develops professional adviser relationships throughout Wales.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, he worked at Brewin Dolphin as an Investment Assistant and at Walker Cambria and Rowan Dartington. Andrew has over 10 years’ experience in financial services. He also had a successful cricket career playing for Glamorgan County Cricket Club.

Andrew joined Brooks Macdonald in 2017 and is responsible for the management and development of our offices in Wales and the South West.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Andrew worked at Brewin Dolphin in Cardiff where, as a Divisional Director, he headed an investment team providing discretionary fund management solutions to financial advisers and their clients. He has over 15 years’ experience in financial services. Andrew also had a successful rugby career, playing for Cardiff and Wales.

Andrew is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Securities & Investment (CISI) and holds the CISI Private Client Investment Advice & Management Certificate, the CISI Diploma in Investment Compliance and The Chartered Insurance Institute Financial Planning Certificate.

Andrew joined Brooks Macdonald in 2002 and was appointed CEO in 2021. He has held numerous roles across the Group, including Group Deputy CEO since 2015, and most recently CEO of the International business since 2019.

Andrew has worked in investment management and financial services since 1994. Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Andrew worked at Shepherd Associates Financial Management, holding the position of investment director.

Andrew is also a Member of the Board of the Personal Investment Management & Financial Advice Association (PIMFA).

Antony joined Brooks Macdonald in September 2019 and manages portfolios for charities, private clients, trusts and pensions.

Prior to joining Brooks Macdonald, Antony worked for Quilter Cheviot, Sanlam and UBS, and has over 10 years’ experience in the industry.

Antony is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI). His qualifications include the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM).

Ben joined Brooks Macdonald in 2017 and is responsible for the management of discretionary portfolios on behalf of some of our fiduciary, institutional and private clients.

Ben is co-head of our Multi Asset Class Strategy Teams and is a voting member of our Asset Allocation Committee. Ben is also a voting member of our Direct Equity Strategy Team.

With over 21 years’ experience in financial services, Ben holds the Certificate in Private Client Investment Advice & Management (PCIAM) and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI).
